General Description

The Liber votivalis as festivitatum, from the Benedictine monastery at Oberaltaich. It contains Mass and Office formulary for various festivals (hymns, sequences, psalms, lessons, sermons) from f. 257 mass ordinary movements (Kyriale). The only polyphonic piece is in score notation.

RISM BIV/3: 15. Jh.; 308 Blätter Pergament, 358 x 260 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-300; originale Foliierung von f. I-CCC; auf den ersten Blätter nur moderne Foliierung: f. 1-1c-9; moderne f. 9 =originale f. IX und so weiter. Je Seite 10 rote Vierliniensysteme mit Quadratnotation - Einband: 15. Jh.; mit weißem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel; Blindstempel; Rücken 1923 erneuert.

Die als Liber votivalis et festivitatum bezeichnete Handschrift stammt aus dem Benediktinerkloster Oberaltaich. Sie ist mit 1452 datiert. Das einzige mehrstimmige Stück steht in Partiturnotation.

Inhalt: Meß- und Offiziumsformulare für verschiedene Feste (Hymnen, Sequenzen, Psalmen, Lektionen, Sermones); ab f. 257 Ordinariumssätze (Kyriale).
