General Description

A single partbook from a set originally of six volumes, containing various voice parts (mostly Discantus and Altus). Another surviving volume of the set is the McGhie Manusript, WimbDM s.s. Copied by several scribes. Some pieces have text incipits or titles only. Copied in England. The original owner was apparently 'TE' (monogram on covers and p. 2); 'TE' probably not Thomas Este (KermanBM). Later acquired by Sir Frederick Ouseley (1825-89), founder of St. Michael's College (near Tenbury, Worcester). Bequeathed to St. Michael's College; deposited in Bodleian Library in 1979.
