General Description

A student's notebook containing quotations, grammatical rules, a treatise on metrics, and on f. 86 the Proverbia Magistri Stephani disputata. The only music is the well known Agnus Tro 'Crimina tollis' written on f. 93, in score.

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 2: A 15th century paper manuscript meas. 217 x 146 mm. and containing 93 folios. In addition, there are two blank unnumbered paper flyleaves at each end belonging to the modern binding of parchment over pulp boards, as well as 3 original folios preceding the 93. These 3 are unnumbered however. An old foliation in brown ink, appears at t.r.r. on f. 1-2, but the rest is completed in an 18th or 19th century hand, again in brown ink. The codex as a whole is a student's notebook containing quotations, grammatical rules galore, a treatise on metrics, and on f. 86 the Proverbia Magistri Stephani disputata. On the spine is written Reglas Grammaticales, Definiciones, Proverbios, etc. in brown ink. The only music is the well known Agnus Tro "Crimina tollis" written on f. 93v on 3 brown four-line staves in score in large square notes apparently devoid of mensural significance.
