General Description

F. 1 and 22 make up a bifolio. The old document which it contains has no connection with the main part of the manuscript: two quinios containing 10 prefaces and proses. The 21 compositions also include the Pater noster and a troped Ite and Agnus. All of them are monodic except the 'Agnus Tro Pater dei, lumen rey' for two voices. The prefaces are arranged according to the order of the church year, while the manuscript as a whole is from the Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei, Tarragona.

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 2: A 14th century parchment manuscript meas. 230 x 162 mm. and containing 22 folios. Folios 1 and 22 make up a bifolio used as a binding. The old document which it contains has no connection with the main part of the manuscript: two quinios written in Gregorian square notation for the 10 prefaces and in mensural notation for the proses. The 21 compositions also include the Pater noster and a troped Ite and Agnus. All of them are monodic except the "Agnus Tro Pater dei, lumen rey" for two voices. The prefaces are arranged according to the order of the church year, while the manuscript as a whole is from the Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei, Tarragona.
